“I think I’m developing a taste for vol-au-vents. We ought to go to more funerals.”

Welcome to the town of Leenane, the humble murder capital of the world. Two brothers, Coleman and Valene, have just returned from their father’s funeral. While their self-loathing priest, Father Welsh, reflects on the sad state of his parish over more than a couple of glasses of poteen, Coleman and Valene focus their energies on clashing violently with each other over anything and everything – stoves, religious figurines, potato crisps. As they enact an endless cycle of petty grudges, Father Welsh decides it would be best that he leave this world.

THE LONESOME WEST by Martin McDonagh is a black comedy that "combines both manic energy and physical violence in a way that is both hilarious and viscerally exciting."
